BDP applicants are encouraged to attend this pool session dedicated to getting comfortable with safety practices, rescues, and self rescues.
We will practice T-rescues, H-rescues, swimming with gear, and self rescue scenarios. This will help prepare you for whitewater in BDP, and familiarize you with our protocols before you're getting dunked in glacial river water!
All paddling gear will be provided. Please come dressed as if you were coming to an open session or course at the pool. If you tend to get cold, you may want to wear a rash guard or neoprene. If needed, please bring a nose plug and goggles.
